Welcome to FinOps Report. I’m Chris Kentouris, your editor.
This publication has been designed for professionals in financial operations, technology and compliance. Many of you know my work already from Securities Industry News and other publications. FinOps will offer the same in-depth reporting of current issues, but in a livelier, more relaxed format.
We define success as building a loyal readership. We intend to earn that loyalty. Not just by providing news you can’t find anywhere else, but also by maintaining an ethical firewall between the editorial and advertising sides of the business. That means no commercial influence on the news. What you read is what we could find out, and what we think about it with no compromises.
At launch, our list of subscribers to FinOps email alerts is already nearing a thousand. Early interest has been strong and frankly heartwarming. A lot of firms would like to make an impression on this group of middle and back-office specialists. Advertising and sponsorship opportunities for these firms will be the source of our revenues. We encourage our esteemed readers to pay attention to these messages from our sponsors, and let them know that you saw them on FinOps. They need to know that they are spending their money wisely with us.
FinOps Report is an interactive publication. We post articles. You tell us what you think. Leave your comments on the articles. Send them on to your friends through Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn. Use our contact page to send us your ideas and feedback. Our readership is our most valuable asset. We want to hear from you.
Thanks for all the great stories you’ve helped me write through the years. I’m looking forward to giving you many more.
Chris
